Excellent book with lots of information

I like the way it is laid out. A lot of information in small print .

Would be nice if sections were or had tabbed some of the torque specs need referenced as to what they are ie: lbs.in or lbs.ft

Should have had this 60 years ago

Very wide range materials and sizes covering most engineers requirements.

Because of my age the print is too small on some pages but because of the restraints of publishing to produce a compact publication I understand this.

I use this hand book to help our customers understand more about what they are ordering or to answer some of their questions. it's a great reference guide

Perfect companion - pretty much better than Google searches, more accurate and trustworthy too.

Consistant layout makes it easy to find the information you need, quickly. It is all there for what we use it for.

After finding the right fastner in the book, it can sometimes be tricky to find the actual fastner at the local fastner supplier.

Would be better with section tabs (like Electrical Black Book has). Thread gage would be better with fine threads actually cut instead of simply pictured.

Doesn't have all metric grades for torque specs

Excellent book. I am a model engineer build gauge 1 steam locomotives. This is very helpful for converting inch to metric fastners

More time engineering, less time in the phone or wading through 10 manuals. I use it and I trust it!

Lets everyone be self reliant and confident in their work - all the specs are right there in their (our) greasy hands!

Would have liked some quantitative date on thread sealing, adhesives and anti-seizing compounds.
